Peninsula Crossing Trail - Metro web site
"The 3.5-mile Peninsula Crossing Trail crosses the North Portland peninsula between the Willamette and Columbia rivers. The pedestrian and bike path connects urban neighborhoods to workplaces, schools and regionally significant natural areas."
Getting there: "There are trailheads at North Princeton Street and Carey Boulevard near the south end of the trail and at North Columbia Court off Columbia Boulevard. It is also easy to access the trail at its junctions with Lombard Street, Columbia Boulevard and the 40-Mile Loop along North Marine Drive." Details on the Metro web site, above.
